On Monday, 12th May 2025, DigiDonate proudly took the lead as major sponsor at the prestigious Commonwealth Golf Club, partnering with Emajin Golf for a day that blended business, sport, and powerful human connection.
The event brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across industries for 18 holes of friendly competition, meaningful networking, and inspiring conversation—all set against the backdrop of one of Australia’s finest championship courses.
A Day of Camaraderie and Competition
The course was alive with energy as participants arrived for a light breakfast and early registration. The Stableford format set the tone for spirited yet good-natured rivalry, with golfers of all levels enjoying the perfectly manicured fairways and fast-paced greens. The day’s winner, Mal Friel, impressed once again—having recently claimed one of our Nearest to Pin prizes just weeks earlier. Congratulations, Mal!
From the first tee shot to the final putt, the day captured everything we love about golf: precision, patience, and people coming together around shared values.
The Human Lie Detector Delivers
After the final scorecards were tallied, attendees gathered for a standout moment—the keynote presentation by Steven Van Aperen, also known as The Human Lie Detector. With decades of experience training law enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide, Steven brought unparalleled insight into human behaviour, communication, and trust.

His keynote, “Unlocking Customer Gold”, left the room both captivated and empowered. Attendees learned how to better read non-verbal cues, identify deceptive behaviour, and build stronger relationships in business through ethical influence and behavioural science. The session was a perfect match for DigiDonate’s mission—building a new standard of transparency and trust in giving.
Building Trust On and Off the Green
As a sponsor, DigiDonate was proud to offer attendees a free digital copy of Steven’s book, Unlocking Customer Gold, and commemorate the day with limited-edition NFTs for competition winners. We also welcomed new members to our waitlist—future users of a platform designed to transform giving through transparency, traceability, and measurable impact.
Just like a good round of golf, trust takes time, integrity, and follow-through. That’s why events like these are so important to us. They’re not just a chance to give back—they’re a reminder that genuine human connection is still at the heart of every good business.
Looking Ahead
We extend our thanks to Emajin Golf for organising such a well-executed and memorable event, and to Commonwealth Golf Club for providing a world-class setting. A huge congratulations to all participants and prize winners, and an extra thanks to Steven Van Aperen for sharing his wisdom and presence.
We look forward to many more opportunities to connect, grow, and give together—on the course and beyond.
